Tom Wilson and the Plymouth Whalers moved into first place in the OHL’s West Division last week. Wilson scored the game-winning goal during the first period of a 3-0 win on Nov. 21 against Windsor. On Nov. 23 the Whalers faced off against Kingston in a 7-6 loss. Wilson contributed offensively with two assists in a losing effort. Plymouth will face the Ottawa 67’s on Nov. 30 for the second time this season before hosting Kitchener on Saturday, Dec. 1. The Whalers will then head to Owen Sound for a Dec. 5 matchup with the Attack.

Leksand improved its record to 17-8-0 over the past week despite missing right winger Filip Forsberg. Forsberg is recovering from a pulled hip flexor injury he sustained three weeks ago. Despite missing six games this season, Forsberg still ranks tied for sixth on the team in goals (7). He hopes to return in time for the 2013 World Junior Tournament in Russia next month.
