All the details on Annapolis-Old Mill’s exciting 4-1 victory over Montgomery Blair

The Washington Capitals were on hand for Monday night’s Youth Hockey Game of the Week at The Gardens Ice House in Laurel, MD. Capitals mascot Slapshot and the Red Rockers greeted the crowd while Capitals Radio Play-by-Play host John Walton covered the game.

The Maryland Student Hockey League (MSHL) Class 1A semi-final game began with a ceremonial puck drop featuring Capitals Alumnus Sylvain Cote and team captains Clark Ledane from Annapolis-Old Mill and Sebastian Rubenstein from Montgomery Blair.

In the end, it was Annapolis-Old Mill who defeated Montgomery Blair, 4-1, to advance to the MSHL Class 1A finals.

Clark Ledane led Annapolis-Old Mill with two goals and an assist. David Hitt and William Jenkins also added tallies in the win. Sebastian Rubenstein put Montgomery Blair on the scoreboard with less than a minute to play, but the Blazers were unable to bring the final score any closer.

Annapolis-Old Mill will face Washington County this Friday night at 5 p.m. for the state championship and Capitals Cup trophy. The championship game will also be played at The Gardens Ice House in Laurel, MD.
