Wednesday, 10.29.2008 / 11:25 AM / Community
The Washington Capitals raised $14,635 through the team’s Fall Puck Surprise, which took place at the Caps game against the Nashville Predators on Oct. 28. The fundraiser featured more than 400 pucks that were packaged with Hershey’s Kisses and signed by various Capitals players and sold for $35 each. The pucks went on sale at 6 p.m. when the doors opened to Verizon Center and were sold out by 7:15 p.m.

Megan Crosson, John Eckert, Wendy Goeb, Charles Guidos and Susie Holmes were the Fall Puck Surprise winners. The five winners selected unsigned pucks and therefore got to meet Caps star Sergei Fedorov after the game. Fedorov signed their pucks and took photos with all of the winners.
