Capitals Wives Visit Childrens National Medical Center
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Washington Capitals’ wives visited Children’s National Medical Center on Thursday, Feb. 12, and made valentines art and crafts with patients in the hospital’s atrium. This was the first of two visits the Capitals will make to Children’s National Medical Center this month. Capitals players will visit the hospital Tuesday, Feb. 17, to play video games with the patients.

Sasha Bradley, Rachel Fehr, Dee Steckel and Krystal Stotz made valentines, Hula-Hooped and danced with the patients. “We are out here having fun with the kids,” said Rachel Fehr, wife of Capitals forward Eric Fehr. “It’s nice to come out here and play with the children. We are having as much fun as they are.”

Children’s National Medical Center is the only exclusive provider of pediatric care in the metropolitan Washington area and is the only freestanding children’s hospital between Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Norfolk, and Atlanta. Serving the nation’s children for more than 130 years, Children’s National is a proven leader in the development and application of innovative new treatments for childhood illness and injury.
