Following the game against Pittsburgh, Capitals players and coaches headed to the Acela Club to meet, mingle and sign autographs for guests at the Amazing Auction. The participants were treated to appetizers and drinks, and had the opportunity to meet the entire team and take part in a silent auction, live auction and raffle.
The highest bid of the evening came during the live auction, when one fan bid $11,000 for a dinner with Bruce and Crystal Boudreau and Dean and Sherri Evason at the Boudreaus’ residence. Other unique items included an autographed portrait of Alex Ovechkin by renowned local artist Anna Rose Soevik and a night of bowling with Mike Green, Brooks Laich, Shaone Morrisonn and Alex Ovechkin. The silent auction saw its highest bid of $3,000 go for a game-worn Nicklas Backstrom jersey.
