Washington Capitals’ Charities to Host First Caps Care Casino Night and Auction Sunday, Jan. 24

Tickets are now on sale for the first Caps Care Casino Night and Auction Sunday, Jan. 24, from 7-10 p.m. at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center in Alexandria, Va. Come join Washington Capitals players, coaches, alumni and owners in a night full of live music, mingling and fun all in the name of charity.

All attendees will receive a set number of chips upon arrival to the Caps Care Casino Night and Silent Auction, which can be used to play blackjack, craps, roulette, slots and Texas hold ‘em. Not a serious gamer? Don’t worry, instructional tables will be available for beginners or those wanting to brush up their skills. There will also be video game stations where you can challenge your favorite Caps player to a game of Guitar Hero or bowling.

Would you like to enjoy preferential treatment? The VIP reception will be a smaller, more intimate gathering with all of the players in attendance from 6:30-7:30pm. Get a full hour of face time with the team before they hit the casino floor.

Casino Night will encompass the Amazing Auction this year with live and silent auctions. The live auction will feature one-of-a-kind experiences with current players, alumni and coaches. At the silent auction attendees will be able to bid on autographed sports memorabilia and Capitals’ game-used equipment.

ARLINGTON, Va. – Washington Capitals’ Charities will hold its first Caps Care Casino Night and Auction Sunday, Jan. 24, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center in Alexandria, Va., with all proceeds from the special evening going to charity. Tickets go on sale Monday, Nov. 23, starting at 10 a.m. at WashingtonCaps.com for general admission and VIP tickets. There will be a gaming area, raffle and live and silent auctions where fans will be able to mix and mingle with the entire team along with coaches, alumni and owners.
 
The gaming area will feature blackjack, craps, roulette, slots, Texas hold ‘em and video game stations with the Capitals players participating in the games. Instructional tables will be available for beginners or those wanting to brush up their skills. Attendees will receive a set amount of chips to start, and at the event there will be a raffle with autographed sports memorabilia and gift certificates.
 
Doors will open early, at 6:30 p.m., for VIP ticket holders to mingle with the entire team along with coaches, alumni and owners in a more intimate gathering for an hour before doors open to the general public. VIP ticket holders will be able to get autographs and have their pictures taken with the players. There will be complimentary food – a carving station, slider bar, sushi bar and tapas bar – along with beer, wine and signature cocktails during the event.

Casino Night is cocktail attire and attendees must be at least 21 years old to attend. Parking for the event is free. All of the proceeds will go to Washington Capitals Charities as well as a charity selected by the Capitals players’ wives and girlfriends.
