ARLINGTON, Va. – Washington Capitals single-game tickets for the 2010-11 season go on sale Friday, Sept. 10, at 10 a.m. at 202-397-SEAT, on WashingtonCaps.com, at Kettler Capitals Iceplex and at all local Ticketmaster outlets, including the Verizon Center box office.

Verizon Center has been sold out for 60 consecutive Capitals games (including playoffs); last year was the first in franchise history in which every game was a sellout. Single-game tickets are expected to sell out very quickly. Thanks to that demand, the Capitals will also offer a limited number of standing-room-only tickets for games once all seats have been sold.

The home season begins with Opening Night at Verizon Center presented by GEICO on Saturday, Oct. 9, against the New Jersey Devils. The Capitals will unveil their 2009-10 Presidents’ Trophy and Southeast Division championship banners prior to the game, and fans will receive a magnet schedule presented by GEICO.

The Capitals will host two special Kids Days for children between the ages of two and 14 and will have activities set up on the concourse of the 400 level. Kids Club members will be able to enter an hour before the gates open to the general public. The first is on Sunday, Nov. 14, and the second is Sunday, Jan. 16. The Capitals are also proud to once again host Hockey Fights Cancer Night (Oct. 23), Hockey is for Everyone Night (Feb. 8) and Military Night (March 3).

The team’s annual Fan Appreciation Day will be held at the next-to-last home game, Saturday, April 2, against Buffalo, and will feature a Nicklas Backstrom bobblehead doll giveaway presented by Verizon.

Among the ticket options available is the Washington Capitals Pregame All-Inclusive Package, which starts at $119 per package and includes a game ticket, a pregame all-you-can-eat buffet in the Dewar’s 12 Club, unlimited beer, wine and soda, a Caps New Era hat and a Caps rally towel. A Capitals Fan Experience Package includes a center preferred ticket, parking, a Caps jersey, dinner in the Acela Club, a postgame center-ice group photo and more starting at $300.
