Washington Capitals players Karl Alzner, John Carlson, D.J. King and Joel Ward attended SneakerBall VIII at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 13. The Caps players mingled with guests and other athletes at this fundraising event. SneakerBall celebrates the best of sports in the greater Washington region. The event is organized to recognize the Greater Washington Sports Alliance Foundation, the nonprofit foundation of the Sports Alliance that uses the philanthropic generosity of individual and corporate donors to make strategic investments in emerging nonprofits that use sports to enhance children's lives.
