Prospect Report

Tom Wilson returned to action this week for the Plymouth Whalers after serving a two-game suspension last week. He recorded one assist in a 2-1 win over Peterborough on Oct. 18 and tallied two assists and a fighting major in an 8-3 win over Kingston on Oct. 19. Wilson was selected to play for the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) in the SUBWAY Super Series against Russia, scheduled for November 12. It is unlikely that he will be able to participate however as a recent hand injury could sideline him for two to three weeks.

Filip Forsberg was held scoreless against Malmo on Oct. 20, but bounced back with a power-play assist in a 6-2 rout of Karlskrona on Oct. 23. Forsberg was also selected for Sweden’s Under-20 team participating in the Four Nations Tournament, starting in November. Forsberg and Leksands will face Asploven on Friday (Oct. 26), Tingsryds AIF on Sunday (Oct. 28) and Almtuna IS on Tuesday (Oct. 30).
