Prospect Report
Filip Forsberg returned to action for Leksand this week. In a 6-2 rout of Asploven on Dec. 7, he recorded his ninth goal of year and tallied an assist as well. Forsberg continued his strong return the following night recording an assist against Tingsryd in a 2-1 overtime win for Leksand. Despite missing seven games, he still ranks seventh on his club in points (19) and fifth in goals. Forsberg looks to continue his resurgence with a game against Almtuna on Monday (Dec. 17) and Troja two nights later (Dec. 19).

Tom Wilson is finishing up at Canada’s World Junior Selection Camp, held in Calgary, Alberta, from Dec. 10-13. If chosen, Wilson will represent Canada at the World Junior Championships in Russia. Wilson and the Plymouth Whalers were held winless this past week in OHL action. Wilson was held scoreless against Owen Sound on Dec. 5, but he did bounce back recording his sixth goal of the season against Saginaw, along with his 17th assist on Dec. 7. He followed that showing with a goal the following night against Oshawa, notching his seventh of the year. Wilson and the Whalers look to get back in the win column this week with games against Sudbury tomorrow night (Dec. 14) and Barrie the following night (Dec.15).
