Filip Forsberg has been named captain for Team Sweden at the 2013 World Junior Hockey Championships in Ufa, Russia. The 18-year-old was drafted by the Washington Capitals 11th overall in the 2012 NHL Draft.
Forsberg has had a strong season for his Swedish club, Leksand, so far. Through 22 games he has tallied 19 points, nine goals and 10 assists, despite missing seven games due to injury and two games while training with Sweden’s WJ team.
