NVSHL:
Langley high school maintained it’s one point lead in the Adams Division over Madison as both teams won this past week. Madison has come on strong as of late, and won 12-2 over Loudon County (Jan. 25). Forward Ben Headley recorded the first three goals of the game, notching a hat trick in the game’s first 12 minutes. He would finish with a total of seven goals for the game. Battlefield/Patriot moved up to tie Chantilly high school for the division lead in the Smythe Division, while Stone Bridge and Woodbridge remained first in their respective divisions.

MSHL:
Northern high school remains undefeated with nine wins on the season, and they are tied at 18 points with Huntingtown for the season. Northern has scored 110 goals in nine games, good enough for a 12 goals-per-game average. Winston Churchill high continues to dominate its division as it has improved its lead to 28 points (12 more than the second-closest team).

MAPHL:
Formerly undefeated Loyola Blakefield high school dropped its first game of the season in a 5-2 loss at the hands of DeMatha 2 (Jan. 29). The loss, coupled with a St. Stephen’s/St. Agnes win, moved St. Stephen’s/St. Agnes into first over Loyola Blakefield with a one point lead in the league. Good Counsel remains in striking distance of first place as well with nine points and a handful of games left to play, including a matchup with the league leader tomorrow night (Feb. 5).
