Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation raises more than $11,000 through online raffle
Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation raised $11,189 through a Washington Capitals online raffle held during the month of January. MSE Foundation partnered with Celebrities for Charities Foundation to raffle off an autographed game-worn Alex Ovechkin jersey and four glass seats to the Capitals game against the Flyers on Feb. 1. Proceeds from the raffle benefitted Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation.
Fans were able to purchase individual raffle tickets starting at just $2 each. Nearly 500 Caps fans purchased a total of 10,802 raffle tickets. On Jan. 30 the winning raffle ticket was selected, and Diane Doyle of Reston, Va., was declared the winner. Doyle not only won a game-worn Ovechkin jersey and got to watch the Caps defeat the Flyers from the front row, but she was also photographed on the ice prior to the start of the game.
Congratulations to Diane Doyle and thank you to all the Caps fans who helped make this fundraiser a success.
