Miami University standout Riley Barber netted two goals in the Redhawks 6-2 victory over the University of Alaska this week. Barber’s two goals in the game helped secure his spot as the second-highest point scorer for the Redhawks. He currently has 28 points (11 goals, 17 assists) and sits two points behind the leading point scorer, Austin Czarnik, who has played two more games than Barber. This weekend Barber and the third nationally ranked Redhawks will face-off against Western Michigan University (6th) and fellow Capitals prospect Garrett Haar on Feb. 8 and 9.

Thomas Di Pauli contributed a goal in the Fighting Irish’s close contest against the Ohio State University Buckeyes. Di Pauli’s goal came with 6.7 seconds left in the first period and tied up the score at 1-1. Both teams went on to score another goal to end regulation 2-2. Di Pauli and his teammates skated away victorious after a shootout put them up 3-2. Notre Dame will play against the University of Michigan this weekend on Feb. 8 and 9.
