ARLINGTON, Va. – The Washington Capitals have assigned defenseman Cameron Schilling to the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League (AHL), vice president and general manager George McPhee announced today.

Schilling, 24, made his NHL debut on March 12 vs. Carolina and skated 11:58. He has recorded 14 points (six goals, eight assists) and is a plus-seven in 54 games with Hershey in his first full professional season.
