The MeiGray Group, the Official Game-Worn Jersey Source of the Washington Capitals, will be at Verizon Center Saturday night offering fans and game-worn jersey collectors the opportunity to purchase a game-worn jersey at the Team Store.
The Caps-MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program will be set up in the Team Store, offering the set of red game-worn jerseys that the Capitals wore on April 11, 2013, when they defeated the Carolina Hurricanes, 3-1.
Fans attending the 7 p.m. game will get a chance to examine the jerseys, ask questions, and learn about our popular Game-Worn Jersey program, when the Team Store doors open at 5 pm.
Only 24 game-worn jerseys will be available for sale, one per player, available on a first-come, first served basis.
Among the 24 jerseys will be:
-The jersey worn by Troy Brouwer, who paced the Caps with two goals.
-The jersey worn by Braden Holtby, who stopped 43 of 44 shots to lead the Capitals to their sixth consecutive victory on their march to the Southeast Division title.
-The jersey worn by Mike Green, whose goal at 10:46 of the second period broke a 1-1 tie and proved to be the game-winner.
-One jersey for each of the other 17 Capitals in the lineup.
-One game-issued jersey for four other Caps on the roster, who did not play.
Every game-worn jersey was individually serial-numbered before it was worn, and authenticated after it was worn by MeiGray and the Caps. Each jersey will come with a Washington Capitals-MeiGray Group Letter of Authenticity."
