Capitals Announce Preseason Broadcast Schedule

ARLINGTON, Va. – Six Washington Capitals preseason games will be broadcast on Comcast SportsNet or NHL Network, the Washington Capitals announced today. In addition, Capitals radio voice John Walton will call all eight preseason games via WashingtonCaps.com and on the Caps mobile app, while the Capitals home game against Nashville on Sept. 25 will also be broadcast on 106.7 The Fan and WFED-AM 1500.

The preseason schedule begins tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 14, as the Capitals play the Winnipeg Jets in the NHL’s Kraft Hockeyville event at Stirling-Rawdon, Ontario. The game will be broadcast on NHL Network at 7 p.m. The NHL Network will also broadcast the Capitals road game versus the Boston Bruins on Sept. 23.

Comcast SportsNet will carry three Capitals preseason games starting with the Baltimore Hockey Classic (vs. Boston Bruins) on Sept. 17, the Capitals preseason home opener versus the Chicago Blackhawks on Sept. 20 and the home contest against the Philadelphia Flyers on Sept. 27. Comcast SportsNet’s live game coverage will be led by seven-time Emmy Award-winning play-by-play announcer Joe Beninati, veteran analyst Craig Laughlin and longtime reporter Al Koken, who are entering their 17th consecutive season together.

Fans can also watch and listen to the Caps preseason home game versus the Nashville Predators on Sept. 27 on WashingtonCaps.com, as John Walton, the voice of the Washington Capitals, and radio analyst Ken Sabourin will call the game live from Verizon Center.
