Slapshot has been skating for the Capitals since 1995. As the original model for the Great Seal of the United States of America Slapshot is somewhat of a celebrity. Slapshot has performed across the country. Most recently Slapshot was part of the showcase showdown on the Price is Right. Slapshot makes hundreds of appearances a year across Maryland, Virginia, and the District.

Slapshot enjoys helping others and is part of the DC community. Slapshot can be continually spotted soaring into charity fundraisers, community festivals and parades throughout the area. While also being invited to many promotional and private functions, including corporate conventions, store openings, birthdays parties and weddings.

As a familiar face at the Verizon Center, Dancing for the fans and flying around on the ice before games, Slapshot has become and integral part of the team. Slapshot also brings fun and excitement to Capitals programs such as Hockey School which helps teach local school children the ins and outs of street hockey.
