Rules, Officiating and Discipline

Capology III: Three Capitals, Three Contracts

The Caps Assistant General Manager/Director of Legal Affairs walks the audience through contract negotiations with three current Capitals players: (1) a rookie contract negotiation, (2) a restricted free agent/arbitration negotiation, and (3) an unrestricted free agent negotiation. He will explain the differences in strategy and structure of the different negotiations, from both player and club point of view.

Hear how siblings had to sit hours upon hours just so their brother could play in a hockey game. Hear the sacrifices every family made for the ultimate payoff of watching them play in the NHL.

Goalies are a unique group of individuals; their job is unique on the team as are the stresses and pressures that come with it. They have superstitions, routines and weird quirks about themselves. Walk the hallways of the minds of some NHL netminders and learn about how they get prepared for playing in net night in and night out.
