So Kids Can KaBOOM! Playground BuildCaps fans, the Washington Capitals want you to help us make a difference in the community. Join Capitals defenseman Mike Green, Elliot Segal from Elliot in the Morning and other Caps fans from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 15, at the So Kids Can KaBOOM! playground build. Green and Segal along with the Capitals, Washington Capitals Charities and So Kids Can partner IceWEB invite you to help build a playground at Associates for Renewal in Education, Inc. (ARE) in Northwest Washington. All volunteers will receive a free T-shirt and be provided with a light breakfast and lunch during the event. Tasks that volunteers will be performing include putting together playground equipment, moving mulch, mixing and pouring cement and painting.
This is your opportunity to be part of the team! Show the community that you care and give back with the Caps. Please note that this project is taking place on a weekday, so only sign up if you are able to attend. Children are welcome to help out but make sure you register each person attending the event separately. Space is limited, so don’t wait to register - sign up below. Once you register, you will receive a confirmation email with further details about the project.
If you have any questions, or do not receive a confirmation email, please contact Elizabeth Wodatch, director of community relations, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
