TRANSFERRING TICKETS TO A FRIEND


Step 1
Select “manage my tickets”



A new page titled “My Washington Capitals AccountManager” will appear.





Step 2
Click on the game you would like to manage.




It may take some time for your process to load. A layered screen will appear over the calendar.






Step 3
Select the option “Transfer tickets to a friend”, and click on the seats you would like to forward. Then, click “done”.





The layered screen will disappear, and there will be a number indicating the amount of tickets selected to print for the particular game(s). The number of tickets will also show up at the top, right-hand corner of the AccountManager screen near the “continue” button.







Step 4
Click “continue”. A pop up screen will appear.







Step 5
Confirm seats and click “continue to transfer”, or click “cancel” if you would like to edit your selection. After a few seconds, you will see a summary of your selection.







Step 6
Enter in the recipient’s contact information: first name, last name, email address, confirm email address. Insert the accurate information and select “add”. This step is necessary to complete the transfer.







Step 7
Select the name of the recipient you would like to transfer your ticket(s) to. These names will be saved on your AccountManager for convenience as you utilize the transferring option. Once you add the recipient, there will be buttons enabled to edit/delete your contact and another option to enter new contacts.







Step 8
Continue to scroll down the summary page. You can leave a custom message for the recipient, and you can choose to have an automatic email reminder sent to your corresponding email address in the case that your recipient doesn’t accept the offer as the event nears. You will also be able to choose whether you want to display the original price on your ticket offer.







Step 9
Click “next step”.
You will be directed to a new screen summarizing the transfer.







Step 10
Agree to the terms of use, and the “complete transfer” button will be enabled. Once the transfer information is confirmed, click “complete transfer”. If you need to edit the name/email of the recipient or anything else about your transfer, click on “previous step”.







Step 11
Review your order. You should see 2 checks on the left hand side bar next to “1. Select a recipient” and “2. Review & Submit”. There is a button to print the page for your own records just above the “Transfer Summary” title on the right.






RECEIVING TICKETS


Step 1
You will receive an email from the email address: teamexchange@ticketmaster.com; on behalf of; Washington Capitals (guestservices@washcaps.com)

With the subject:
Your Ticket Transfer Offer from Capitals Guest Services Capitals Guest Services

The email will contain: Opponents, Date, Time, Seat details (Section, Row, and Seat), and may contain the original price of the ticket offer. Also, the email will contain the expiration date to claim the offer, which is the start time of the event. At the end of the email, there will be two choices: “decline offer” or “accept offer”.






Step 2
Select either “decline offer” or “accept offer”.





Step 3
Whether you accept or decline the offer, you will be directed the Washington Capitals AccountManager website.

Here you will need to sign into the AccountManager with the exact email address that the ticket offer was transferred to or with the Account ID associated with that email address. Note: If the email addresses are different, you will not be able to receive the tickets.








Step 4
Sign into AccountManager, and you will see a notice on the front page. “Note: You have pending offer(s). Click here to accept or decline the offer(s).”

Click on “click here” to continue accepting or declining your offer.







Step 5
A layered screen will appear and prompt you to accept or decline the offer.







Step 6
(See Step 12 if you want to decline)
If you accept the offer, you will be directed to a new screen summarizing the ticket transfer. Choose the delivery method in order to finalize the transfer: print or digital.






Step 7
If you choose to select a “digital” delivery type, several prompts will appear below. Select what “Paperless Type” either credit card or a fan’s card. Fill in the accurate information. Click “Add”

Note: The Fan Card number is an 8-digit number located on the back of the card starting with 8-0-0.

If you select “Print” as delivery type, you will be directed to a summary page. From there, you need to agree to the “terms of use” and click “complete transfer”. After a few seconds, you will be prompted to “open” or “save” the PDF ticket. You will also be directed to a confirmation page. If you were not prompted to “open” or “save” your ticket(s), you can click on the “print” button on your confirmation page. Once your PDF appears through Adobe (or like software), you can print and/or save your PDF paper ticket.









Step 8
Once the correct card is added, select the card by clicking on the button to the left of the card nickname. The “next step” button will be enabled after selecting the card.







Step 9
Confirm all of the information. Click “next step”.

You will be directed to a new screen summarizing the transfer.








Step 10
Review the items being transferred to your card. Agree to the “terms of use” by clicking on the button to the left of the terms. The “complete transfer” button will then be enabled.








Step 11
Click “complete transfer”. A confirmation page will appear and if selected you will receive an email as well.








Step 12
If you decline the offer, you will be directed to a new screen.








Step 13
Agree to the “Terms of Use”. The “decline offer” button will be enabled.








Step 14
Confirm and select “decline offer”. A confirmation page will appear.




PRINTING TICKETS


Step 1
Select “Manage My Tickets”






Step 2
Click on the game you would like to manage.




It may take some time for your process to load. A layered screen will appear over the calendar.






Step 3
Select the option “Print ticket” and click on the seats you would like to print. Then, click “done”.





The layered screen will disappear, and there will be a number indicating the amount of tickets selected to print for the particular game(s). The number of tickets will also show up at the top, right-hand corner of the AccountManager screen near the “continue” button. Confirm your selection.







Step 4
Click “continue”. A pop up screen will appear.







Step 5
Confirm seats and click “continue to print”, or click “cancel” if you would like to edit your selection. After a few seconds, you will see a summary of your print selection.







Step 6
Review and click on the agreement terms. “I agree to the terms of use…” Once you have agreed to the terms, the “submit” button will be enabled.






Step 7
After a few seconds, you will be prompted to “open” or “save” the PDF ticket. You will also be directed to a confirmation page. If you were not prompted to “open” or “save” your ticket(s), you can click on the “print” button on your confirmation page.







Step 8
Once your PDF appears through Adobe (or like software), you can print and/or save your PDF paper ticket.






DONATING TICKETS TO A CHARITY


Step 1
Select “Manage My Tickets”




A new page titled “My Washington Capitals AccountManager” will appear.




Step 2
Click on the game you would like to manage.




It may take some time for your process to load. A layered screen will appear over the calendar.






Step 3
Select the option “Donate tickets to charity”, and click on the seats you would like to donate. Then Click “done”.





The layered screen will disappear, and there will be a number indicating the amount of tickets selected to print for the particular game(s). The number of tickets will also show up at the top, right-hand corner of the AccountManager screen near the “continue” button. Confirm your selection.







Step 4
Click “continue”. A pop up screen will appear.







Step 5
Confirm seats and click “continue to donate”, or click “cancel” if you would like to edit your selection. After a few seconds, you will see the charity selection page. As of right now, Most Valuable Kids is the only charity a ticket holder is able to donate to through AccountManager.







Step 6
Agree to the terms of use. If you would like to donate anonymously, please select the check box below the terms of use.






Step 7
Click “donate now”. You will be directed to a confirmation page where you can print a summary of your charity donation and/or return to managing tickets.




CANCELLING FORWARDED TICKETS (RECALLING A TRANSFTER)


Step 1
Log into your AccountManager






Step 2
Select “manage my tickets”. You will be redirected to the calendar of events.







Step 3
Click on the event for which you are recalling your tickets. A layered screen will appear.









Step 4
Right under the pop-up screen’s “Close” button is one labeled “pending actions” in red. Click on “pending actions”.






Step 5
Once you click on “pending action”, within the same pop-up screen those actions not accepted or declined by the recipient will appear.







Step 6
Click on the event you would like to recall. The “cancel offer” button will be enabled.








Step 7
Confirm event recalled. Click “cancel offer”. You will be redirected to a summary page.








Step 8
Confirm information. Agree to “Terms of Use”. The “cancel offer” button will be enabled.








Step 9
Click “cancel offer”. You will be redirected to a confirmation page. Recalling transferred tickets is completed.




TRANSFERRING TICKETS TO A CARD


Step 1
Select “manage my tickets”



A new page titled “My Washington Capitals AccountManager” will appear.

Click on the game you would like to manage.

Select the option “Transfer tickets to card”, and click on the seats you would like to transfer. Then, click “done”.

Step 4

Select or add a new card that you would like to transfer your tickets to. If you would like to add a new card, first select the paperless ticket type. You can choose from either a credit card or a fan’s card. If you choose the credit card option, you will need to provide the following information: provide a nickname, first name and last name on the card, credit card type, credit card number, confirm card number, and an optional email address for a confirmation email.




If you choose the fan’s card option, the following information will be needed: provide a nickname, first name and last name on the card, STH card type (currently only one option – 2012), card number, and an optional email address for a confirmation email. email.






Step 7
Once the correct card is added, select the card by clicking on the button to the left of the card nickname.







Step 8
Click “next step”.
You will be directed to a new screen summarizing the transfer.







Step 9

Step 10

MOBILE TICKETING STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS



ENTRY INTO THE VERIZON CENTER


Step 1
Using the browser on your mobile phone, visit My Capitals Account Manager. Enter your account ID or email address and your password and select “Login”.






Step 2
From the home screen (shown below), select the appropriate game.




You may also select the appropriate game from the mobile calendar.





Step 3
Choose the seats you want to view and select “View Your Tickets” using the “Select an Action” dropdown tab.











Step 4
Choose which tickets you want to view by checking them. A green checkmark will appear on the left side of the screen. If you want to select all of the tickets, use the “Select All” button. Once finished, select the “View Your Tickets” button at the bottom of the screen.






Step 5
Barcodes will appear that the Verizon Center attendant can scan. If you have multiple tickets to scan, use the “Next” button at the bottom to switch between them.





You will receive seat locator tabs for each ticket you have scanned in.




TRANSFERING MOBILE TICKETS TO A FRIEND
*New for 2013-14


Step 1
Using the browser on your mobile phone, visit My Capitals Account Manager. Enter your account ID or email address and your password and select “Login”.






Step 2
From the home screen (shown below), select the appropriate game.




You may also select the appropriate game from the mobile calendar.





Step 3
Select “Transfer to a Friend” using the “Select an Action” dropdown tab.









Step 4
Choose which tickets you want to transfer by checking them. A green checkmark will appear on the left side of the screen. If you want to select all of the tickets, use the “Select All” button. Once finished, select the “Transfer to a Friend” button at the bottom of the screen.






Step 5
Review the tickets you want to transfer. If you want to remove a ticket, simply deselect the green checkmark. Once finished, select the “Continue” button at the bottom of the screen.







Step 6
Choose who you want to transfer your tickets to by using your address book using the dropdown tab. You may also add an optional message. At the bottom of the page, a summary of your transfer will appear. You may select how far in advance prior to the game you would like an email message if your recipient has not accepted your transfer offer.





You may also add a new recipient to transfer your tickets to.





Step 7
Review your transfer. If you want to edit your transfer, select the “Previous” button at the bottom of the screen. If you want to complete the transfer, make sure the green checkmark by the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy agreement is selected, and choose “Complete Transfer”.





Step 7
A summary will appear saying that your transfer was completed.
