2014-15 RENEWAL FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What information is included in my 2014-15 season-ticket invoice?
Your 2014-15 renewal invoice is for 40 regular season games (not 41) and 4 preseason games to be played at Verizon Center during the 2014-2015 season. This invoice does not include the 2015 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic. All eligible 2014-2015 Washington Capitals season-ticket members will be invoiced separately for the option to purchase the 2015 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic multi-game ticket package in the summer of 2014.

How do I make my first payment online?
Log on to the Caps website and click the “My Capitals Account Login” link on the front page or through the Season-Ticket Member Locker Room. Use your account number and online PIN provided on your invoice to view your 2014-15 invoice, select your payment method and make your first payment. Once we receive your renewal and payment information for the 2014-15 tickets, we will charge your credit card for that first payment.

I am an AUTO-RENEW account- do I need to do anything?
No, as an automatic-renewal account, you are automatically signed up for the 2014-15 season with our 12-month PowerPay payment plan and Pay As We Play for the playoffs. We will automatically charge your credit card on file for the first 12-month PowerPay payment on the March 21, 2014 renewal deadline. Your second payment will be charged on May 15, 2014. If you need to change the credit card on file please contact your Guest Services Specialist directly or Capitals Guest Services at 202.266.2350.

What are the benefits of renewing my season tickets by the March 21 deadline? (Deadline extended to March 28)
By renewing your season tickets by the deadline, you pay the 2014-15 Renewal Price, continue to receive our great Season-Ticket Member benefits package, guarantee your same seat location for the playoffs, qualify for our Pay As We Play playoff payment plan and qualify for our 2014-15 renewal incentives including access to purchase 2015 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic ticket packages and Monumental Rewards points incentives. Any renewals received after the March 28 deadline will be at the 2014-15 New Full-Season Price.

What is the difference between 2014-15 Renewal Price and 2014-15 New Full-Season Price?
When you renew your season tickets by the March 21 (deadline extended to March 28) renewal deadline, you will receive the 2014-15 Renewal Price. If you renew after the March 28 (deadline extended to March 28) renewal deadline, you will be charged the 2014-15 New Full-Season Price.

My Power Pay plan does not finish until March 2014. Will I have to make two payments in March, one payment for my 2013-14 tickets and also start paying for my 2014-15 season tickets?
Yes. There will be some overlap in the payment plan process. If you are signed up for the 2013-14 Power Pay plan, your final payment is March 15, 2014. Once we receive your renewal and payment information for the 2014-15 tickets, we will charge your credit card for that first payment immediately. The second Power Pay date of the 2014-15 season will be May 15.

Can I use multiple cards for my Power Pay payments?
No, we need one consistent credit card for payments.

What happens if I miss a payment or my credit card is declined?
If a problem arises concerning your payment, you will be contacted by the Washington Capitals to provide a valid credit card. Your online account manager privileges will be suspended until the payment is made and your tickets may be blocked. If you are unable to arrange for regular monthly installments, you will be removed from Power Pay and will need to pay your remaining balance in full to avoid cancellation of your season tickets.

Who do I contact if I need to update my credit card information?
Please contact your Guest Services Specialist directly or the Capitals Guest Services Department at 202.266.2350 or via e-mail at guestservices@washcaps.com.

2014 STANLEY CUP PLAYOFF FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are my playoff Payment Options?
Pay As We Play:
This season ticket renewal incentive allows you to pay for the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs at the conclusion of each playoff round. This means no upfront payment for games that might not be played. You are charged only if the Capitals play a home game during that round. To qualify you must renew your plan for the 2014-15 season by the renewal deadline of March 21, 2014. The Capitals reserve the right to cancel your 2014-15 season ticket plan if you default on any Pay As We Play payment.

Pay in Full for Rounds 1 through 4:
You may choose to purchase your seats for all four playoff rounds up front (16 possible games). Refer to the seating diagram for pricing information. Any money from unplayed playoff games will be credited to your season ticket account for the 2014-15 season. If you choose not to renew your 2014-15 season tickets, you can still purchase your seats for the playoffs using the pay in full for all four rounds option.

How do I sign up for Pay As We Play?
By renewing your season tickets for 2014-15 and making your first payment either through Power Pay, 50/50 or 100% now, you are eligible to be enrolled in Pay As We Play for the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Be sure to select Pay As We Play on your invoice or online renewal. Please note that if you default on your payments for the 2014 Playoff Pay As We Play program, the Capitals reserve the right to automatically cancel your 2014-15 season-ticket plan and remaining playoff tickets.

What forms of payment will be accepted for 2014 Pay As We Play playoff program?
The only form of payment accepted for Pay As We Play is a major credit card. We accept all major credit cards (American Express, Visa, Mastercard, Discover).

Do I have to use the same credit card for both Power Pay and Pay As We Play?
Yes. We will automatically charge the credit card we have on file for Power Pay on or about the 15th of each month for your season-ticket plan. At the end of each playoff round, the same card will be charged for any home games played during that round.

What if I do not wish to renew at this time, but would like to purchase 2014 Stanley Cup Playoff tickets?
If you do not wish to renew your plan at this time, you must pay in full for your 2014 Stanley Cup Playoff tickets based on the season-ticket member discount. In order to participate in our Pay As We Play program, you must renew your season tickets for the 2014-15 season and make a payment through Power Pay, 50/50 or 100% now.

Can I use my 2013-14 TicketMaster Ticket Exchange resale credits towards my playoff payments?
No, any resale credit accrued by the resale of 2013-14 regular-season tickets and 2014 playoffs can only be used towards the 2014-15 regular season. Resale credit for tickets sold prior to January 22, 2014, will be noted on your 2014-15 renewal invoice. Resale credit for tickets sold on or after January 22, 2014, will automatically be applied prior to your July 15 payment for your 2014-15 season tickets.

How will I receive my Stanley Cup Playoff tickets?
Stanley Cup Playoff tickets will be loaded onto your online Account Manager prior to the start of the first round. You will be able to use the same Account Manager functions from the 2013-14 season including printing, ticket transfers, and selling on the NHL TicketExchange. You will be able to enter the building utilizing your digital ticket card, mobile ticketing, or printed PDF tickets.

What if I don’t want to purchase playoff tickets?
We hope you will join us for the excitement of Capitals playoff hockey; however you may choose to only renew your Capitals account for the 2014-15 season at this time.

Can I buy additional playoff tickets through the Capitals?
If there are additional playoff tickets available for individual games, they will be made available to Capitals Full Season-Ticket Members via an online presale. Due to very limited availability there is not a guarantee that we will have additional playoff tickets for purchase.

Who do I contact if I need to update my credit card information?
Please contact your Guest Services Specialist directly or the Capitals Guest Services Department at 202.266.2350 or via e-mail at guestservices@washcaps.com.
