2001-02:
Skated in 54 games with the Sharks, totaling a career-best 22 points (9g-13a) and 43 PIM … Tied for third on the Sharks with a +22 rating and ranked first among NHL rookies … Selected as Sharks Rookie of the Year … Tied for 14th in voting for Calder Trophy … Recorded first career two-point game (1g-1a), 12/28 vs. NYR … Tallied first career GWG 1/9 at PHX … Played in first career NHL postseason game 4/20 vs. PHX (Game 2, WCQF).

1998-99: Recorded 23 goals, 20 assists and 57 PIM in 79 games with Kentucky … Set team rookie record for goals in a season … His 43 points was second-most by a Kentucky rookie.

Junior Career
1997-98: Ranked fourth on Kingston (OHL) in scoring with 83 points (33g-50a) in 55 games … Ranked among the top 20 scorers in the OHL … Awarded William Hanley Award as the OHL’s most gentlemanly player … Named to OHL Eastern Conference All-Star Team … Finished third in the coaches’ ballots for the OHL’s best defensive forward award … Represented Canada at World Junior Championship in Switzerland.

1996-97: Finished second on Kingston in games played (65), ranked third with 24 goals and ranked fifth in scoring with 48 points. 1995-96: Played his first season in the OHL with Kingston, totaling 10 goals, 14 assists and 17 PIM in 55 games.

International
Represented Canada at the 1998 World Junior Championship, posting a goal and an assist in seven games.
