| MD Fights Cancer at SkateFest 08 |

The Washington Capitals participated in  Hockey Fights Cancer Maryland’s Skatefest ’08 at Ice World in Abingdon, Md., on Sunday, May 4. The event, in its first year, raised thousands of dollars to fund the fight against cancer on both a national and local level. Skatefest ‘08 included a skate-a-thon, skills competition, broom ball, carnival games, inflatables, vendors, food and music. More>> |
 I’m writing my season-ending Owner’s Corner later than last year, which always is a good sign. A year ago I pledged our continued commitment to improving the franchise and asked for your patience.
